“Mayank and myself were both PhD students at Queen Mary University of London studying properties of out-of-equilibrium physical systems from 2017 to 2021. During our studies I have had the pleasure to discuss physics with Mayank many times, and every time I would be very satisfied of our chat. With time, I have come to realise that Mayank has a gift. He is able to concretise abstract concepts into intuitive, clear and down-to-earth thoughts. He is creative and can shape equations into drawings that are easy to read and immediate to understand. After figuring this out, I could not help but ask him to help me out with some plots and drawings to insert in a paper. We briefly discussed the details and he quickly came back to me with a beautiful drawing, which is now published in Journal of Physics A. After this we collaborated again and he helped me out making images for a fellowship application. The goal of this project was to represent a self-interacting diffusion on a 2D space, which is a process whose dynamics depends on all space visited. This class of systems have only been studied in the math literature and no graphical representation of them was available until Mayank produced it. It took him only 2-3 iterations to finalise an image that is clear, comprehensive, and good-looking. Honestly, I am so happy with the outcome of our collaborations that I cannot wait to start new ones. Whatever the challenge, Mayank knows how to tackle it!”
